Some FAQ's that will help!
Are these retrofits compatible with my Vauxhall?
We deal specifically with the Vauxhall Astra J, Astra GTC, Astra VXR, Insignia A, Cascada, Mokka and Zafira.
As a general rule of thumb, these are produced from 2009 to 2016 when they were replaced with newer generations. So if your Vauxhall is between these years, then yes, your Vauxhall is compatible with most retrofits offered by us.
However, this does not guarantee combability and usually there are other factors that come at play when considering a retrofit, depending on what the retrofit is.
We highly encourage you to reach out to us by email or by our Facebook page if you have any questions or concerns about the combability of your Vauxhall with a particular retrofit you would like to do.
Why do you not offer THIS retrofit or THAT retrofit
Our aim with our retrofit options is to strike a balance between many factors such as availability of parts for the retrofit, how much time will it take to get done, how much it will cost you and many others.
We believe we offer a comprehensive range of retrofits, from big to small, from comfort features to adding parts that never were in Vauxhalls.
We are open to discussing a potential retrofit not advertised on our website but we would also like to say this does not guarantee our commitment to actually doing the retrofit for you. If you would like to discuss such matters, please reach out to us by email or on our Facebook page.
Why do I have to come to Newcastle for some retrofits?
While some retrofits can be done by post, these are usually more related to radio system upgrades and or instrument cluster etc.
Sometimes, dependant on the retrofit, we require access to the car, either for access to the wiring, the OBD port or even ECU in order to carry out programming and to ensure the retrofits work. An example of this is retrofitting power fold mirrors, we can send you the parts and you can fit them yourself but the car will not know you now have power fold mirrors as we haven't told the car they are there by the use of programming and custom calibrations.
There are certain cases where we are open to remote programming, given you have all the necessary tools but this is entirely dependant on each client and retrofit. In such case, we are also not responsible for any issues, problems, errors etc that could arise from a remote programming session.
If you are interested in a remote programming session, you can reach out to us by email or our Facebook page and we can discuss your case further.
What quality are the parts?
We ALWAYS use OEM parts wherever possible. This goes for Radios, Navi Screens, Instrument clusters and much more.
There are some retrofits where we use aftermarket parts, such as our reverse camera retrofit. However, these parts have been extensively tested and are integrated in such a way that they work exactly the same as the OEM component would work.
I have booked a retrofit session, but now I need to reschedule/cancel. How?
Our bookings are free, there is no extra charge. If you have booked a session with us in Newcastle and you cannot come to us anymore, please reach out to us as soon as you can by email or Facebook with your order number, name and vehicle registration so that we can either cancel or reschedule your retrofitting session.
How will my retrofits be delivered?
If your retrofit is coming by post, it will be delivered using Royal Mail Tracked 24 unless specified otherwise on the product page.
You will receive a tracking code as soon as we have dispatched the order, which we try to do on the same day but depending on your order time, it will be posted the next working day.
